This service manual contains technical information, which allow service personnel’s to understand and service this model.

Please place orders using the parts list and not the drawing reference numbers.

If the circuit is changed or modified, the information will be followed by service manual to be controlled with original service manual.

IMPOTANT NOTICE 1: (Other than U.S.A. and Canadian Market)

The service manual does not contain the following information, because of the impossibility of servicing at component level.
1. Schematic diagram, Block Diagram and C.B.A. layout of Main C.B.A.
2. Parts list for individual parts of Main C.B.A.
When a part replacement is required for repairing Main C.B.A., replace as an assembled parts. (Main C.B.A.)
The following category is/are recycle module part. please send it/them to Central Repair Center.
- MAIN C.B.A. (VEP23537B) : For DMC-LC40E/B/A/EN (Excluding replacement of Lithium Battery)

NOTE:

The MAIN C.B.A. for this model seems to be divided into three boards; Terminal board, Main board and Digital board.

However, these three boards connected by flexible card directly, without connector.

Therefore, when servicing, it has to be handled as 1pc of P.C.B. named MAIN C.B.A.

IMPOTANT NOTICE 2:

The following listed category is/are not repairable at component level.

DO NOT PRESS AND BENT THE JUNCTION AREA OF MAIN C.B.A.

Since the Terminal board, Main board and Digital board of the Main C.B.A. are directly connected with Flexible Card, these junction areas are quite delicate.

Therefore, DO NOT hardly press and bent the junction areas of Main C.B.A.
